Eligibility

Registration fees are based on membership status (ALA member or nonmember) on the date registration and payment are received; however, all member rates are contingent on the member renewing her or his full ALA 2016 membership. ALA members may register for the Annual Conference at the member rates noted on the registration form. Nonmember registration is restricted to individuals who are not currently members of ALA, but who do meet the eligibility requirements for ALA membership. Guest Registration

The purchase of guest registration is restricted to guests of registrants only. A guest may not be someone eligible for membership in ALA, a business partner or a supplier who is not exhibiting. Following are the guest registration options:

NEW: ExperienceGuru

ALA is focused on developing methods to improve your meeting experience. ExperienceGuru is a tool that gives you a direct line of communication to our staff while you’re in Los Angeles, in case you run into any issues but are unable to leave the meeting room or cannot easily find available staff onsite. In this way, we have the opportunity to resolve issues on the spot. Here’s how it works:

• You will receive a text message on your cell phone before, during or after different experiences throughout the conference.
• The message will contain a link that you can click to quickly provide your feedback.
• Respond using a simple three-point scale: Good, Neutral or Poor. You’ll provide comments if an issue needs to be addressed.
• ALA tracks the feedback in real time and can respond immediately as needed.

You can participate by marking the “Check here if you want to participate in ExperienceGuru” box when you register, and providing your cell phone number. Please note that standard messaging rates apply. International attendees please confirm that you have international roaming prior to participating.

Conference Photo/Video Policy

Registration (attendee and exhibitor) and payment for the Conference gives consent that any pictures, video or audio recording taken during ALA and ALA-related events can be used for Conference coverage and future ALA promotional purposes. ALA is able to use your likeness without remuneration.

Substitution Policy

A substitute from the registrant's organization or chapter is permitted for a $109 administrative fee. The substitute's registration fee will be adjusted if a nonmember replaces an ALA member. Please submit this request in writing via email to registration@alanet.org.

NEW! Payment Plan Option

ALA is pleased to offer a payment plan for ALA members and nonmembers attending the 2016 Annual Conference to help you budget. This offer applies only for full Conference attendance, for submissions received in December 2015 or January 2016.

Upon ALA’s receipt of this application, you will be entered into a recurring credit card agreement that will extend from receipt of this application through April 1, 2016. This binding contract will allow you to remit ALA Annual Conference full registration fees in four easy payments, per the schedule below.

Registration by payment plan is open to all ALA members and nonmembers who meet the eligibility criteria for ALA membership. Any individual with an interest in the management of law firms, law departments and legal organizations may benefit from participation. Business partners and business-partner eligible companies not eligible to register as attendees.
